Model 111: Function Generator Samples

I actually considered making this a paid pack... it was a lot of work to put together!

The Wavetek 111 Voltage-Controlled Generator is a function generator that was in production from the mid 1960's to the mid-70's. From the manual:

"The WAVETEK Model 110 Function Generator and Model 111 Voltage Controlled Generator (VCG) are semi-precision sources of waveforms from servo to video frequencies. These units are extremely rugged, completely transistorized portable packages. They feature complete plug-in printed circuit board construction with interchangeable individually calibrated printed circuit boards utilizing silicon semiconductors throughout. The extremely clean and stable waveform signal from 0.005 Hz to 1 MHz (Model 110) and 0.0015 Hz to 1 MHz (Model 111) make these generators highly versatile general purpose pieces of equipment for the laboratory or the field."

The Model 111 that I recorded for this pack was purchased in a non-working state. I replaced several failed transistors in the triangle generator circuit as well as several failed electrolytic capacitors. I also checked all of the carbon composite resistors in the unit for drift and replaced nearly 50 of them that had drifted out of tolerance due to age. I built a breakout cable to be able to calibrate the generator card and did so according to the manufacturer's instructions and specifications to the best of my ability.

Each sample is cut at zero crossing and will loop seamlessly without any further modification.
